What can the timesheet generator do?
The generator produces a timesheet as a PDF for a month of your choice. It does two things: the classic attendance record with start, end and breaks, and the project timesheet with activity and hours per day.

What does a timesheet need to contain?
In many industries companies are legally required to record the working hours of their employees. The timesheet is the tool of choice. Under German law the following fields are mandatory:
- Start of working time
- End of working time
- Duration of breaks
- Total working time (period from start to end, minus breaks)
Different from this are timesheets that service providers send to their clients as proof of delivered work, often called a “timesheet”. The format is more flexible and can be adapted in our generator.
The project name typically sits in the heading. Instead of exact start and end times, only the total duration of each task is usually listed. An activity description tells the client in detail what they are being billed for. With the signature on the timesheet the work counts as accepted, a step that usually precedes invoicing. In consulting, agencies and tax advisory the signed timesheets are often attached to the invoice as proof.
