Budget planning

By project

Choose a budget in QUANTICAL.ERP budget planning and spread person-days per week over the employees - with budget consumption, a suggestion for the remaining budget and splitting over several rates.

The By Project view plans one budget: you see how much of it is already planned and spread the rest over the team's employees.

By Project view with budget ID, key figures and the Allocations table

Choose project and budget

Choose the Client, then the Project and below the Budget ID. The list shows every budget with amount, name and period. With Period from and Period to you narrow the allocations shown, without input the fields name the period of the table.

The key figures sum up the budget: Budget total, Budget planned as the sum of all allocations and Budget unplanned as the rest.

Add an allocation

Add allocation creates a row. Choose the Consultant/Employee, the people assigned to the project are offered. From and To are preset with the budget period.

Enter person-days

Enter PT/week or h/week, the other value follows automatically, one person-day is eight hours, the hours run on the quarter-hour grid. While the cell is empty it shows a grey suggestion: the weekly hours that use up the remaining budget as closely as possible. A click into the cell accepts it.

Save changes

New and changed rows read Not saved yet in the budget consumption column. Save changes writes them, after that the Budget consumption stands in euros and the key figures at the top recalculate.

Reading the table

Per allocation stand From, To, the Status (Current when today lies in the period), PT/week, h/week and the Budget consumption. The bin deletes an allocation. The rate the consumption is calculated with is shown as a hint in the row. A missing rate means no rate is on file for the period, then the row cannot be saved.

Special cases

  • Multiple rates within the period: if the rate changes in the middle of the allocation, QUANTICAL.ERP splits the plan after confirmation into segments per rate. In the table it stays one row
  • Period outside the project duration: the allocation is saved anyway after confirmation
  • Currency mismatch: budget and rate have different currencies. The consumption is compared without conversion and is then only a guide

How budget consumption is calculated: working days of the period without weekends, public holidays of the federal state and approved vacation, divided by five, give the working weeks. Working weeks times PT/week are the person-days, times eight hours times the rate the consumption. Vacation approved after saving no longer shrinks the plan.
